Our online bachelor's degree specialization in network technology provides the knowledge you need to take certification tests in network administration, design, and security from Microsoft, Cisco, and other leading technology organizations. This program will strengthen your technical knowledge and critical thinking abilities through hands-on learning in Capella's advanced IT infrastructure and Virtual Lab Environment.

General Education Courses
To complete your bachelor's degree, you will need 45 quarter credits in general education subject areas with a minimum of 6 quarter credits from each category. We offer general education courses in communication, humanities, natural science and mathematics, and social science.

  • TS3340 - Software Architecture - 6 credits
  • TS3350 - Network and Security Architecture - 6 credits
  • TS3160 - Ethical and Human Side of Information Technology - 6 credits

Specialization Courses:

  • TS4040 - Network Administration - 6 credits
  • TS4041 - Advanced Network Administration - 6 credits
  • TS4045 - Network Analysis and Design - 6 credits
  • TS4140 - Introduction to Internetworking - 6 credits
  • TS4803 - System Assurance Security - 6 credits
  • TS4813 - Operating Systems - 6 credits
  • TS4815 - Introduction to Telecommunications - 6 credits

Elective Courses:

  • Choose 39 quarter credits of additional undergraduate courses. The School of Undergraduate Studies recommends that 18 of these credits be earned through undergraduate information technology courses.

Capstone Course

The following course should be taken during the learner's final quarter.
