Commencement Ceremony
It's a profound experience to walk across that stage. Each graduate has a personal story of aspiration, persistence, and achievement. Sometimes it's hard to tell who is more proud and happy—the graduates themselves, the family and friends cheering them on, or the faculty members lined up to applaud them.
Capella University holds commencement ceremonies twice each year: in Minneapolis each August, and in another major U.S. city each February or March. We also provide live and archived webcasts of the ceremony for graduates, family, and friends who are unable to attend in person. Past commencement speakers include Mae Jemison, Mara Liasson, Wally Amos, Ray Suarez, and Dan Buettner.
